Chris
Hola! I bet you never thought this post was going to happen.
Anyway, I have always loved food, but never enjoyed preparing and sharing it as much as I do with Melissa. Throughout high school, I was known for the pantry my parents kept stocked, my tuna melts, and late night nacho creations. During the college years, my diet consisted of a heavy dose of mexican, sandwiches, and what else… beer. Growing older and slightly wiser, I’ve found food is all about balance and moderation as I still make mean tuna melts, love my mexican, and drink ‘the one and only,’ but in more reasonable portions and alongside healthier alternatives when within reach. Yes, I love a side of well done fries, but they’re a treat instead of the norm. Who doesn’t love a root beer float, Cactus Cooler, or chicken wings? I sure do, but sprinkle in some salads during the week, passing on the empty carbs, and consuming plenty of water throughout the day. The result: I feel so much better and have more energy in my 30’s than I did in the 20’s.
Anyhow, time for some Q&A to judge me.
One thing that would shock the world about me is: going to have to let Mel jump in here as what you see is what you get
My catchphrase is: not sure ’bout this one either, but wish the world would stop using “no worries” in replace of “you’re welcome” and other responses
I would describe myself in three words as: practical, stubborn & transparent
The one thing I want to do before I die is: Live in a city outside LA
Movies: Good Fellas, Usual Suspects, Pointbreak, Running Scared (‘86), That Thing You Do, Some Kind of Monster
Books: no fanks
T.V. Show: we don’t have time to go through them all, but of the food variety; Good Eats, 3d, and love me some Top Chef!
Color: stealth jet
Junk Food: Melissa’s salt cookies
Favorite Cocktail: Zaya is delicious
My musical playlist is: my iTunes shuffle which consists of everything from SRV to DCFC to Marley to whatever friends have backed up
The perfect meal for a romantic night out is: Whatever Melissa and I prepare and share together; I don’t mind if you throw up after reading
